A Message from the President
Welcome to the new website for the Children’s Surgical Foundation, where “caring for children is our priority”. Our mission is to provide outstanding pediatric surgical services to our patients incorporating family-centered care, comprehensive research, and the highest quality specialized education. The latest advances in surgical treatments and state-of-the-art technology, coupled with a spirit of compassion and more years of experience than any other pediatric surgical group in the Midwest creates the vital difference to our patients and their families.
This webpage highlights each division’s progress and growth in providing innovative clinical care, carrying out research endeavors, and realizing academic achievements. As each division works independently, we could not provide superior level of care without the constant collaboration of our faculty across divisions. This collaboration is the foundation of our multidisciplinary programs. These partnerships have fostered many exciting developments including the
Institute for Fetal Health
, the
22q11 Deletion Syndrome Program
, the Surgical/Cardiology Arrhythmia Service, the comprehensive solid organ transplantation teams, and the significant advancements in Craniofacial Surgery.
As we enter into a heightened awareness of integrating laboratory and clinical advances, our objective is to build a bridge from bench to bedside research. Throughout the past year our faculty and staff have conducted extensive research in tissue engineering, pediatric brain tumors, and liver disease among many other areas of exploration.
Each year we continue to incorporate these advances in research and technology into improving our clinical care. The subsequent web pages will tell the story of how we make
caring for children our priority
.
Sincerely,
Constantine Mavroudis, MD
